The Martlet in our University Crest
¹û¶³Ó°Ôºâ€™s crest includes the symbol of a martlet. A martlet in English heraldry is a mythical bird without feet which never roosts from the moment of its birth until its fall to death.
Martlets are proposed to be continuously on the wing. The martlet symbolises ¹û¶³Ó°Ôº students’ desire to keep moving forward and for life-long learning.
